Taste: Gave it a 4. Kindof nutty, i think i need to cut back on the walnuts. May try cutting with pine nuts instead of walnuts next time, too, since that seems to be common on ingredients lists

Preparation: Throw a bunch of things in the mini food-processor adn hit “destroy” a few times, and it’s done! Then just mix in olive oil

Recipe: I wasn’t really measuring things, so I think I ended up with too much walnut, and I know I didn’t have no 3 cups of basil! I think what I may have done is full reccomendations for walnut, but without anywhere near enough basil :o Kinda threw in olive oil until it looked like a good consistency. We were usingit for a pizza base so i didnt’ want the more runny variety that i might put on pasta, but more of a paste

Cost: Fresh basil was the expense here. Well, that, and the recipe calls for olive oil by the CUP :o Walnuts can be pricey, but i have a huge bag of shelled walnuts that i just grabbed out of. Some cheese and garlic, voila! I don’t remember how much the basil cost, 3$ i think. So with a share of the nuts and a not-insignificant portion of olive oil, might clear that 5$ mark, but not by a lot and that can be resolved by purchases at sale.
