Taste: It’s whole wheat bread. But with sweet. So far it keeps coming up a little over dense so it’s not good for grilled cheese on my sammicher, but might be ok in a skillet. Probably OK for regular sandwich and toast however. Not a bad snacking bread either. Honey or maple syrup is in the dough, giving it a step up from dry boring whole wheat bread.

Preparation: Mix, set for an hour. Transfer to bread pan. set for an hour. cook 20 min, foil, 20 min. Not bad. 2 hours of waits is the only annoying part.

Cost: flour, sweets. dry milk, yeast. 5lb bag of flour’s gonna make a lot. 5$ for ~7-10 loaves on the sweets, and plenty of other uses for them, so they’re minimal. dry milk’s the expensive part, and that’s just b/c i can’t find it in the big box like i used to buy (for burfi). now it’s in small boxes with 1ga or 1qt envelopes. of course, 1 envelope appears to be enough for 3 loaves. think it’s quarts.
