Taste: Kind of sweet/tangy (the pineapple) but just a hint of an afterbite (it has garlic in the recipe) … It was a pretty good recipe, and seemed to be liked by others. I didn’t much like the taste though, so I’m not likely to personally redo it. I might mess with the recipe a bit, but it’s a fairly straightforward recipe.

Preparation: Prep is fairly straightforward. It’s an unheated dish, so it’s really just mix and chill. A bit of chopping where i cheated and used our mini-food-processor.

Recipe: Recipe seemed solid. As I said, I didn’t like it, but more due to a personal preference rather than a problem with the recipe. Think it called for jalapeno’s which I skipped, to be fair. A bit of a kick would have changed the experience again, but I don’t think I’d've liked it any better. But I just didn’t have any jalapenos :o

Cost: Takes 2C of pineapple juice and 2C of pineapple chunks. That is a lot of pineapple. It’s a LOT of juice though. I ended up with 3C of pineapple to go with my 2C of juice (so there might have been too much pineapple :o ) Thats where most of the cost is, although it wants chopped onion, garlic, red bell, cucumber, and jalapeno. The veggie tray’ll bite into a budget as well, unless they’re things you have regularly (doesn’t really need a whole of most of them, but it’s harder to buy half a cucumber ;)
